Books matter. Access matters. Representation matters. But lasting change also happens when the people raising children feel confident stepping into the reading journey with them.
Knowledge Grove combines book access with family engagement. We create approachable literacy experiences, practical take-home tools, and community spaces where parents and children can read, talk, imagine, and learn together.
Our goal is not to make families feel like they need to become teachers overnight. It is to remind them that everyday moments, a bedtime story, a question in the car, or a conversation about a character, can help a reader grow.

Founder and CEO
Sheressa Jackson
Sheressa Jackson is a children's author, publisher, literacy advocate, and founder of Knowledge Grove Foundation. Her work is centered on helping families see reading as a relationship-building practice that can fit into real life.
Through books, author experiences, family literacy resources, community partnerships, and hands-on programming, she is building a literacy ecosystem that connects children, parents, schools, libraries, and community organizations.
